Feelings Through Murals
We all walk throughout the city for our needs , we
are always on the rush and go back home and lay down after a day full of stress
,but not all of us pay attention to what surround us. Until recently I had
never seen the beauty of Murals that surround me wherever I go. I always
thought of murals as some meaningless art that some teenagers did and do . But
this proved me that even a grain of rice sometimes is meaningful.
As I walked into a neighborhood in Prishtina which
is called street B. I saw some murals , half of them had vanished through time,
but there were some that emotionally touched me and made me feel like drinking
cold water in a hot day. The mural above reminds me when I went through tough
times , and someone dear to me gave me its hand ,and told me to never give up
because better times are always ahead. It is sad and beautiful to see people
expressing their emotions through paintings. But I truly believe that if I was
this talented I would be doing the same.
As I was
walking around in that sunny day, and laughing with one of my friends I came
across this other mural , and suddenly a sense of nostalgia for MARVEL hit me.
It reminded me when Big Groot had to sacrifice himself in the movie and he let
Baby Groot behind, and it also reminded me of Thanos. But I also had another
perspective , it felt like a human who even though goes through life problems ,
is still saving his inner child ,still hanging on the hope that one day it will
be alright .
This mural together with the others made me enjoy
the time I spent searching . It brought me joy , amazement and a little little
bit of jealousy at how someone is so talented to paint these beautiful murals.
As I was observing I saw that some artists wanted to only draw something to
catch the eye , but there were a few who from my point of view wanted to convey
some messages to the others . What makes it more surprising is that everyone
has a different view point , even the artist itself .
I did not think that a simple mural has an impact
but as it goes “Never say Never” , I now know that every time I see a mural
even if it is a few words I will be taking a picture of it and keeping them on my
phone. I do hope that at least a few of you will start and be more attentive of
what surrounds you and I do hope some of you will find joy in murals just as I
did.
