A bear for a day
Differences are those that make life
more interesting, so does the crossing of humans with animal’s life and the
opposite. As human beings we are frequently surrounded by people, but we always
need something new and interesting in our life, in order to create more
experiences. The decision of going to visit the Bear Sanctuary was worthy. From
the entrance everything looked amazing, the nature, the sound of birds, and
everything else. Nala, Steve, Andri, Lena who are now my new friends, stole my
heart from the moment I saw them. They accepted my presence without roaring or
scaring me. Immediately I felt like I entered their world, and forgot what
other things are around me. Unable to speak with me, they still made me speak
with them as they are little babies and understand, but I’m pretty sure they
have that spiritual way of communication.
As soon as they heard my voice going near them, they started looking at me, as if they were waiting for me to meet them and I felt as If I was seeking for some cute new friends. Even though they are used to seem as wild creatures, my desire of touching them is still, but of course unrealized. The best part of this one-day journey was when I met bear Nala, it was having the best time in a sunny day, as I had amazing feeling, looking at it. Guess what, I was on cloud nine, when I found out we have something in common, and that is that we both love eating cherries. Characteristic of Nala is that it looks like a teddy bear because of its round face and short stubby nose, and is recovering from old traumas and stresses placed on it by life in a metal cage.
As I continued walking near them,
Steve bear decided to make its appearance and say hi to me. As much as I felt
happy seeing it having its best time swimming in little pool, I felt so bad
because of its past. Steve had wounds infected but thanks to the willing
people, now Steve is living in better conditions. Going up the trail of the other
bears, I found my bear spirit, Lena, relaxing and ignoring things that made it annoyed
was the best part, seeing it lying in the grass was so funny. As each bear, Lena
also had a sad past memory, she is really scared of noises, but she seems to manage
it well and it made me happy to see this.
Moving on, near those bears, I found another
famous, fabulous creature. A giant lion was staying, waiting for visitors to
see it. I felt mesmerized by this beautiful, yet scary creature. Only thinking
if it would be aggressive and attack us made me feel a little bit (very much)
scared.
As I came to the end of this day, and
it was the moment of letting the bears live on their peace, I thank them for
every feeling and emotion they gave me. The power of spirit language sometimes
speaks more than words.
