The City of Murals
To be in a place you left marks, made memories, spent time at..
It is sure that time does fly by really fast!
How interesting it is to see how your opinion, your thoughts, people, your views, how you feel, changes as time passes by.
Revisiting these places especially this one I purposely chose to be the first one was worth it.
I took a deep breath and looked at this mural as I refelt and relived all the things from 2 years ago!
The mural reminded me of the way I was feeling exactly that year, confused, happy, colorful, full of life I was.
Not that I’m not now but it was the way I was feeling all of those emotions and my view on things is what mostly made the difference.
I was tasting that same type of breathing or air if this even makes sense as back than.
I closed my eyes for a second and I saw myself assisting the artist painting this mural.
It’s interesting how maybe time can pass, you can change, people can change, everything can change but you can still feel those emotions you first felt.
As I said before there is a reason for every mural I chose to be in this blog and this one has a powerful meaning behind it for me at least.
This is the first mural that has been done in Ferizaj.
This mural is a repainted version of the first one and it looks how the place looked at the time when the mural was painted.
The reason why I’m in a way informing you of this mural is related to the way it makes me feel.
Every time I see this mural I feel powerful, like I can do anything, every project or thing I have in mind can be successful.
There is a chance it might not be successful but life is all about trying, failing. There is a wining in every failing.
We all have our own role in this life and we all contribute in different ways which we might not even know of.
This was the first ever mural in Ferizaj, years later if I might say contributed to many other murals being done and now this city is called “The City of Murals”!
How well this mural blends with the masjid doesn’t it?
It’s because the same color has been used for both of them.
The same color being used reminds me of how we as people adapt to things, to places, or in a way we get attached or used to the things we deal with everyday. Maybe to simple things like a cup of coffee in the morning, seeing mountains or whatever it may be, we get used to them and it might take so little time away from those things to feel the absence.
On the other hand this mural makes me feel calm, paused, at peace with everything, I have all I need in this place(picture).
The masjid and art my favorite things I call “Life” in one place.
Happiness is in the air!
I did this blog with the intention of making you visit “The City of Murals” and maybe inspire you in a way to doing the things you love and even the simplest things with love since this life is not going to be given to us again!
A life with mistakes is a life liven!
