Variety wonderland
Recently I had the chance to visit a place, and my choice was a car local market located in Gjilan, which I had never visited before. I feel happy about my choice as I saw many interesting things and experienced how some people like to spend their time.
This kind of local market is open only on Saturday mornings, and since it was a morning I was not feeling enthusiastic to go, but as soon as I arrived and saw this place completely swamped with people, I immediately was intrigued to go and see what was there. Fun fact, this market used to be an airport for the transportation of animals, hence the layout being a long straight line, which really made it feel organized and neat. Prior to going, I had heard about how there’s everything there but seeing it for myself, it really exceeded my expectations. There was everything, from cars, of course as it would have been weird to be called a car market and to not have cars, to tools for construction, lawn mowers, live birds, vacuum cleaners, fruits and vegetables, car parts, kitchen appliances, guitars, furniture, shoes, lots and lots of sunglasses, worker clothes and much more.

Because I’m a bit of a shopaholic and enjoy looking
around, I had an amazing time being there just asking how much things were. At
first I didn’t feel as comfortable asking them for permission to take pictures,
as this market is filled with men, so I asked my mom to do that, but seeing how
everyone happily agreed to it, I decided I would ask myself, and felt much more
comfortable to do so. I was expecting for someone to refuse but, because I told
them it was for a school assignment, it was not a problem. It was very
entertaining to see how average middle-aged men like to spend their Saturdays,
and to sort of feel like a man for a moment. It was also very entertaining and
confusing to differentiate people from one another, as all men were wearing
almost the same outfit which made it very hard for me to find my dad as well.
There were also
a few places to eat inside which I think makes for it to be a more enjoyable
process. There were also two nice men playing traditional instruments who agreed
to let me take a picture of them for free.

After debating on what to buy, I decided to go for a
small wooden chair, that was hand-made by the seller. He showed us his other
works, one of which was a coffee table made from a tree trunk that I really
liked. He showed to be very kind as he lowered the price, and gave me another
tiny chair for free, when he knew that I was a good student, so that really
made my day.The highlight of my day
To wrap it up, I would consider a car market to be a
perfect place for anyone if you’re wanting to run away from your thoughts, and enjoy your
time. If you are a girl and you feel hesitant to go to a place where not many
girls go to, I wouldn’t worry about it, as the place has a very welcoming
atmosphere. If you are looking to buy necessary stuff
for cheaper, to go out more and just look around, don't look any further. The market through the eye of a wheel
